OSHKOSH, WI - The Lake Forest College volleyball team won its first three matches at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational over the weekend (October 24-25) before a loss to the hosts ended its school record 14-match winning streak. The Foresters knocked off Marian College (30-25, 27-30, 30-23, 30-28) and Hamline University (30-28, 31-29, 30-17) on Friday and Concordia University (30-22, 30-25, 30-19) in their first match on Saturday. UW-Oshkosh, the nation's 17th-ranked team, defeated Lake Forest (30-18, 30-12, 30-22) in the final match of the weekend. The 14-match winning streak topped the previous school record of 12 set by the 2000 team. The Foresters are now 17-9 on the season.

Senior Stephanie Metzger (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) led Lake Forest to the win over Marian with 15 kills and 17 digs. On Saturday, Metzger had 13 kills and as many digs against Concordia (IL). Anderson pounded out a dozen kills, Miller had a team-high 14 digs, and Krueger's 31 assists came in just two games.

The Foresters struggled against Oshkosh, recording just 18 kills in the three games combined. Anderson led the team with six and Metzger topped the squad with 12 digs.

Anderson's 35 kills in the four matches raised her career total to a school record 1,302. She surpassed the previous mark of 1,290 set by Stephanie Reinboldt '02. Anderson is also the school's all-time leader in digs with 1,237 and ranks second in aces with 189. Metzger was named to the six-member all-tournament team after posting 45 kills, 57 digs, six aces, and seven blocks on the weekend.
