Janelle Balcerzak Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Senior tallied 55 kills in four matches

Lake Forest, Ill. - Lake Forest College volleyball player Janelle Balcerzak (Milwaukee, Wis./Pius XI) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (September 14) for her performance in four matches over the last seven days.

Balcerzak, a senior, had a team-high 55 kills in the four matches combined. She posted a .277 hitting percentage and added six aces and 10 blocks.

She began the week with six kills in a three-game loss to Judson College last Thursday (September 7). On Saturday (September 9) she tallied 15 in a four-game loss to Benedictine University and 16 in a four-game loss at North Central College. She committed just six errors in those two matches combined and her hitting percentage for the day was .373. Finally, in a five-game victory at Elmhurst College on Tuesday (September 11), the team captain registered 18 kills and six blocks.

Her hitting percentage for the week was .277 and she added six aces and 10 blocks.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
