Volleyball Team Defeats Judson in Season's Home Opener
Reinboldt Hits .500 With 21 Kills

LAKE FOREST, IL - In their season home opener, the Lake Forest College volleyball team defeated Judson College (IL), 15-8, 15-11, 10-15, 15-11, in front of 200 fans on Homecoming weekend at Lake Forest. It was the Foresters' fifth straight win and improved their overall record to 8-2. Judson fell to 7-5 on the season.

After falling behind 0-5 in the first game, Lake Forest rattled off the game's next 13 points on their way to a 15-8 win. 

Lake Forest maintained their momentum in game two by jumping out to an 8-0 lead. Judson came back to tie the score at 9-9 and again at 11-11, before the Foresters closed the game on a 4-0 run to win 15-11 and take a two games to none lead. 

Judson won game three 15-10. 

Lake Forest took a 14-4 lead in game four and seven Judson points later, the Foresters closed out the match with a 15-11 victory in the fourth game. 

For the match, junior Stephanie Reinboldt (McHenry, IL/Marian Central Catholic) had 21 kills with just four errors. She hit .500 on the night. Freshman Jenny Anderson (Sebastopol, CA/El Molino) recorded 12 kills and 11 digs. Angela Lagerman (Menomonee Falls, WI/Menomonee Falls) had two blocks and hit .444 with nine kills.

Sarah Frantz (Lake Geneva, WI/Badger) dished out 47 assists and had nine digs for Lake Forest. 

Lake Forest's next action will come on Tuesday (September 26th) when they host University of Chicago at 7:00.
