Lake Forest Volleyball Splits in Weekend Triangular
Boyle leads a balanced attack with 93 assists

APPLETON, WI - A balanced offensive attack helped the Lake Forest College volleyball team earn a split in a weekend triangular at Lawrence University.  In the first match of the day the Foresters fell to UW-Eau Claire 25-30, 23-30, 29-31.  They bounced back with a 30-24, 16-30, 30-25, 30-20 victory over fellow Midwest Conference member, Lawrence University, in a non-conference match.

Though the Foresters had three hitters reach double figures in kills and the team had an impressive hitting percentage of .370 versus UW-Eau Claire, they struggled defensively.  They committed eight serve receive errors and could muster only 3 blocks.  Jenny Anderson (Sebastopol, CA/El Molino) led the Foresters with 14 kills and 9 digs, while Stephanie Reinboldt (McHenry, IL/Marian Central Catholic) and Stephanie Metzger (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) added 13 and 10 kills, respectively.

Reinboldt (16), Metzger (15) and Anderson (13) again reached double figures in kills in the four-game win over Lawrence, and senior middle blocker Angela Lagerman (Menomonee Falls, WI/Menomonee Falls) joined them with 10 kills of her own.  Senior setter Leslie Boyle (Chicago Heights, IL/Marian Catholic) dished out 51assists and, along with Anderson, led the team with 14 digs.

The Foresters are now 6-7 on the season and will host UW-Whitewater at 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 24, in their next home match.  The Warhawks are currently ranked 4th in the AVCA Division III Coaches Top 20 Poll.
