Lake Forest Falls to Elmhurst in Three Games at Home
Team will play twice at Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Forester volleyball team fell 30-24, 30-24, 30-23 at home to Elmhurst College Thursday (September 6) night and fell to 2-4 on the year. The Bluejays raised their record to 1-5.

Senior Nicole Baich (Westchester, Ill./Nazareth Academy) led Lake Forest with 11 kills and posted a .450 hitting percentage. She also added four blocks and had one of the team’s two aces. Junior Ashleigh Martinez (Chula Vista, Calif./Hilltop) recorded 23 assists.

On the defensive side, senior Merissa Martin (Vernon Hills, Ill./Vernon Hills) led three players in double figures in digs with 15. Junior Lisa Sturgill (Sheboygan, Wis./Sheboygan South) added 14 digs and freshman Rachael Peli (Granger, Ind./Clay) a dozen.

The Foresters will travel to Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday (September 8). The team will take on Milwaukee School of Engineering at 1:00 in the afternoon and the host school at 3:00.
