Kevin Canty
Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach

The 2009 season will be Kevin Canty's first on the Lake Forest staff and his fourth as a collegiate assistant coach. He will coordinate the offense and work specifically with the team's offensive linemen.

Canty spent the 2008 season at the College of St. Scholastica, where he was the offensive line coach and run game coordinator. He also served as the team's video coordinator and strength and conditioning coach. Six players on the offensive side of the ball earned All-Upper Midwest Athletic Conference honors in the Saints' first year as a varsity program.

Before coaching at the NCAA Division III level, Canty served for two seasons as an assistant coach at Division II Wingate University, his alma mater. He was the Bulldogs' running backs and tight ends coach in 2007 and worked with the offensive linemen in 2006. He coached the South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year in 2007, a running back that led the nation in rushing yards by a freshman. He also directed a tight end that was selected to the Cactus Bowl and later signed a NFL contract.

Canty was a three-year letterman and concluded his collegiate career by earning All-American honors and starting in the East Coast Senior Bowl. He played for current Forester head coach Jim Catanzaro, who was an assistant coach at Wingate at the time.
