Boarini and Motzer Named MWC Swimmers of the Week
Seniors combined for four wins in Foresters' final dual meet

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College swimmers Eric Boarini (Wadsworth, IL/Carmel) and Erin Motzer (Libertyville, IL/Libertyville) were named Midwest Conference Swimmers of the Week for their efforts in the Foresters' victory over the Illinois Institute of Technology Saturday, February 8.

Boarini recorded a pair of wins and was the Foresters' leading scorer in the men's 109-82 triumph. He won the 100-meter freestyle in 55.38 (converts to 49.62 for 100 yards) and the 200-meter freestyle in 2:02.69 (converts to 1:49.93 for 200 yards). 

Motzer was a big factor in the women's 124-68 defeat of the Scarlet Hawks. She swam on the winning 200-meter medley relay to open the meet and finished first in the 200-meter IM with a time of 2:41.11 (converts to 2:24.35 for 200 yards). She also placed fourth in the 50-meter freestyle in 30.92 (27.70) and added a 2:28.71 (2:13.24) in the 200-meter butterfly as an exhibition event.

The Midwest Conference Swimmers of the Week are chosen by the league's sports information directors.
