Senior Nicole Baich (Westchester, Ill./Nazareth Academy) led Lake Forest with 14 kills and five blocks against M.S.O.E. Freshman Deena Blanchard (Sparta, Mich./Sparta) started at setter and tallied a career-high 18 assists. Four players on the team reached double figures in digs, led by junior Lisa Sturgill (Sheboygan, Wis./Sheboygan South) with 19. Senior Merissa Martin (Vernon Hills, Ill./Vernon Hills) and sophomore Megan Fasules (Little Rock, Ark./Pulaski Academy) each had a dozen digs and freshman Rachael Peli (Granger, Ind./Clay) added 11. Junior Ashley Cretacci (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein) became the first Forester other than Baich to lead the team in kills in a match when she pounded out 12 against Wisconsin Lutheran. Baich finished with nine. Junior Ashleigh Martinez (Chula Vista, Calif./Hilltop) recorded 23 assists and sophomore Nicole Leonard (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Chaminade College Prep.) had four aces. Sturgill led the squad with 14 digs, Leonard had 12, and Martin added 10. Freshman Mandi Mulliner (Elmhurst, Ill./York) finished with a career-high eight blocks and Baich had seven. The Foresters will travel to Marian College Tuesday (September 11) night for a 7:00 non-conference match. The team will be back at home next Saturday (September 15) when it takes on North Central College at 10:00 a.m. and Benedictine University at 2:00 in the afternoon. Lake Forest - M.S.O.E. Box Score
