Welcome to the Shingleton Lab
We study
how the environment influences development to regulate
morphology, and how this regulation evolves to
generate diversity. We are particularly interested in
how the environment influences body and organ size,
using the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, as a model
organism. Our work integrates genetics, physiology,
and evolution.
