Lisa Sturgill
LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College volleyball player Lisa Sturgill (Sheboygan, Wis./Sheboygan South) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (October 11) for her performance in a pair of matches during the previous seven days.

Sturgill, a junior libero, recorded 41 digs in a five-game loss at Ripon College the previous Thursday (October 4). It was the highest total by a Forester this season and one shy of the single-match school record she set last season. She also added two kills and two assists and successfully played all but one of 39 serves directed her way.

On Tuesday (October 9) the Foresters hosted and defeated Lawrence University in five games and Sturgill finished the night with 37 digs. She had just one error again in 36 serve receive opportunities.

Sturgill leads the team with 445 digs on the season and has 1,691 in her career, the second-highest total in team history.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
