Lake Forest falls at Nation’s 10th-Ranked Team
Team’s next match will be Midwest Conference opener

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Forester volleyball team traveled to Carthage College, the nation’s 10th-ranked team, and fell 30-24, 30-27, 30-20 Tuesday (September 18) night. Lake Forest is now 4-8 on the season while the Lady Reds raised their record to 11-2.

Junior Ashley Cretacci (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein) led the visitors with 11 kills and posted a .320 hitting percentage in the match. Senior Nicole Baich (Westchester, Ill./Nazareth Academy) added nine kills and added two aces and two blocks. Freshman Deena Blanchard (Sparta, Mich./Sparta) tallied a career-high 24 assists. Junior Lisa Sturgill (Sheboygan, Wis./Sheboygan South) led the squad with 26 digs, the highest total for a Forester in a three-game match this year. She also had a pair of aces.

Lake Forest will begin Midwest Conference play next Wednesday (September 26) night at Carroll College. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m.
