Kelly Rice
Wide Receivers Coach

Kelly Rice is in his seventh season on the Forester staff and his sixth working with the team's wide receivers.

Rice has been the position coach for at least one All-Midwest Conference selection each year and 2006 graduate Jeff Huebner caught 60 passes for a school record 1,002 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Before joining Lake Forest 's staff, Rice spent four seasons (1996-1999) as the head coach at Elgin High School , a 6A institution in Elgin , Illinois . 

Prior to his stint at Elgin , Rice spent three year (1994-96) as a graduate assistant at NCAA Division II South Dakota State University in Brookings , South Dakota . He coached SDSU's defensive tackles and inside linebackers. He also assisted in scouting and recruiting while earning his Master's degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. In 1996, Rice was the football and basketball team's strength and conditioning coordinator. 

Rice has also been an assistant coach at Campbell County High School (1992-94) in Gillette, Wyoming and Harmony High School (1990-92) in Harmony, Minnesota. While at Campbell , Rice coached the offensive and defensive lines and helped the team to a Class 5A state championship game appearance. At Harmony, Rice was the team's head freshman coach as well as the school's head wrestling coach. 

In 1990, Rice earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota . He minored in Adapted Physical Education and Coaching.
