"I have been affected dramatically by McRAH. It has helped me recapture the spirit with which I began teaching."

Christine B. Morris - Short Essay C

With the help of McRAH, I now feel prepared to address the following challenge in my teaching-

As a teacher, I am often frustrated because my students are not as enthused as I am about the subject matter. As a result, they do not attend regularly and consistently, nor do they see a relevance for the work required, so they do not do it.

McRAH has provided me with “hooks” to stimulate, energize and motivate my students. The summer session afforded me an opportunity to learn new approaches and perspectives to the subject matter with an emphasis on “deeper, rather than broader.” I am looking forward to implementing these methodologies and overarching themes into my classroom, with the goal of so involving my students that they will attend and work.
